The idea for StackMap was born while our founders were students at Stanford University. They felt that the process for locating a book at the university library was harder than it needed to be. In an effort to solve this problem, for themselves and fellow students, they built StackMap, a flexible indoor mapping web application capable of parsing any item's call number and locating it within a library.
Today, StackMap has grown from a college side project into a global software company that serves every type of library throughout the world. We are proud to help thousands of library patrons find resources every day and look forward to finding new and innovative ways to help even more people in the future.
